NSH NORDIC is a member of ’elretur’ which is a private organisation that was created in 2005 by the industry unions for electric and electronic products in Denmark, with the intention of handling the producer responsibility for their member companies.

elretur's purpose is to take care of the member companies’ interests and duties within the law of producer responsibility, including handling collection and processing of spent products.

Environmentally friendly products

NSH NORDIC is the only company in the Nordic countries that can offer PVC-free, plastic coated garden fence with a 15-year surface warranty. PVC-free garden fencing saves the environment of the strain associated with production and waste disposal. The fence is even developed and produced in the EU.

NSH NORDIC is also the only company in the Nordic countries that can offer post anchors made of recycled PET bottles. The post anchor is at the same time 40 % stronger than the traditional, galvanised post anchors. The post anchor is even developed and produced in the EU.

Our wide range of infrared patio heaters also helps to save the environment of 2/3 of the CO² that is emitted compared to a traditional gas patio heater. At the same time the consumer saves up to 2/3 of the energy costs and even gets a better heat.

Furthermore, we are always working on increasing the amount of environmentally friendly products, where robinia posts and untreated wooden products also deserve to be mentioned.

Packaging

Our goal is to reduce the usage of packaging in the entire value chain as well as recycle as much packaging as possible. Therefore we are always working on optimising the packaging to what is strictly necessary. Among other things, our wire fence rolls are not wrapped in plastic since the product both looks nicer without it, and at the same time we avoid that condensation is created on the inside of the plastic wrapping, which can cause the product to corrode.

Through NSH NORDIC’s membership in BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), we take responsibility to ensure responsible working environments in our supply chain. The factories are carefully selected and continuously audited in order to insure orderly and responsible conditions, so that the produced products can be sold with a clear conscience.
